About Brady

Brady Leafloor is an Ottawa-based professional saxophonist whose individual sound, energetic stage presence, and musical sensitivity have made him a staple in the Ottawa area music scene.

Brady has been playing since 1997, starting as a saxophonist and then expanding to other woodwinds. He is a Carleton University Bachelor of Music program graduate, where he studied jazz performance under Mike Tremblay. During that time, Brady built his career as a performer and teacher, teaching privately and running the All Saints Catholic High School Jazz Band, and performing with several groups in and outside of university.

Saxophone Performer in the Ottawa Area

Brady currently performs with several in-demand groups, including Sly High, a powerhouse tribute to the music of Sly and the Family Stone, the hyper groove band Eru-Era, the 12-piece London Gentleman Records Band, the jazz fusion group PreDestined, and Ottawa's own motown-soul band The Hornettes. He also works as a session musician and sideman for several other bands, including Archy the Cockroach. Brady has performed in such festivals as the Ottawa Jazz Festival, Ottawa Bluesfest, and the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.

Private Woodwind Music Lessons

As well as performing, Brady has a private home studio where he teaches students of all ages and experience levels. His studio has expanded to offer remote lessons and he is currently accepting woodwind students.
